Lake Ouachita Prepares to Host the Phoenix Bass Fishing League Regional Championship

First prize of $ 60,000 and a chance at the 2022 American Championship for the Grabs, four hundred boaters and co-fishermen head to Mount Ida

Mount Ida, Arch. (October 14, 2021) – The Phoenix Bass Fishing League presented by the Cowboy, Great Lakes, Mississippi and Okie divisions of TH Marine will end its 2021 season next week in Mt. Ida, Arkansas, October 21-23, with the Phoenix Championship regional bass fishing league presented by TH Marine at Lake Ouachita. The three-day regional championship – hosted by Visit Hot Springs – will feature the top 45 boaters and co-anglers as well as tournament winners from all four divisions, competing for a top prize of $ 60,000, including a Phoenix 819 Pro bass boat with a 200 horsepower, $ 10,000 Mercury Outboard, plus lucrative emergency rewards including up to $ 7,000 in additional Phoenix MLF bonuses. Strike King co-anglers will compete for a top prize of $ 50,000, including a Phoenix 819 Pro bass boat with a 200 horsepower Mercury outboard. Winners will be determined by the heaviest catch over three days.

Anglers will take off at 7:30 a.m. CT daily from Mountain Harbor Marina to Mount Ida. Weigh-ins will also take place at the Marina and begin at 3:30 pm Fans are invited to attend the event or follow the action online via the “MLF Live” weigh-in shows at

The 2021 MLF Phoenix Bass Fishing League presented by TH Marine consisted of 24 divisions dedicated to weekend anglers, with 128 tournaments throughout the season and five qualifying events in each division. The top 45 Strike King boaters and co-anglers from each division, along with the five qualifying event winners, advance to one of six Phoenix Bass Fishing League regional championships.

The top six finalists from each region will advance to one of the longest-running championships in all of competitive bass fishing – the Phoenix Bass Fishing League All-American, to be held June 2-4 at Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs, Arkansas, hosted by the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism and Visit Hot Springs.

Top Strike King boaters and co-anglers from each division of the Phoenix Bass Fishing League will also earn priority entry into the Toyota Series, the path to the Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit, and ultimately the Bass Pro Tour.
