Car crashes into Cape Cod fishing charter business in Falmouth

Two people were injured when a car crashed into a fishing vessel on Cape Cod early Saturday morning. the people inside the car were taken to the emergency room at Falmouth Hospital and the driver was later airlifted by medical helicopter to a trauma center in Providence, Rhode Island, police said. Two people were injured when a car crashed into a fishing charter building on Cape Cod early Saturday morning.

Falmouth police say a speeding Chevrolet Camaro crashed into Patriot Party boats at 227 Clinton Ave. shortly before 12:45 a.m.

The two people inside the car were taken to the emergency room at Falmouth Hospital and the driver was later airlifted by medical helicopter to a trauma center in Providence, Rhode Island, police said.

Video from the scene shows the car was crushed after hitting the front right corner of the building.

The Patriots Party Boats building suffered significant damage in the accident.

“Building inspectors are going to have to show up to determine the extent of the damage and what needs to be done to repair it,” said Falmouth Fire Captain Bruce Girouard.

Falmouth Police said the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
